Join SDBC or renew your membership online. Visit the SDBC membership page and click on one of the three membership options to signup or renew online.

Link to Amazon Smile

Do you shop at Amazon.com? If so, it’s easy for you to help SDBC receive donations from Amazon to SDBC. Just use the “Amazon Smile” charitable process in your account. Amazon Smile funnels a small percentage of their eligible purchase revenue to SDBC if you activate Amazon Smile in your account and choose “San Diego Bicycle Club” as the beneficiary nonprofit.

Instead of logging in through "amazon.com" you log-in through “smile.amazon.com.”  Very easy to use. It is EXACTLY the same shopping experience.  Nothing changes except SDBC receives contributions from Amazon.

The 29th annual SDBC Light Up a Life Toy Ride was held last Saturday. We had about 230 riders participate. Santa (Ralph Elliot) led us from UCC across San Diego to the the Salvation Army Kroc Center on Univerity Avenue.

Many participants chose to decorate their bikes and were in costume, adding to the festive holiday spirit, and before roll out, and with Santa MC-ing, prizes were awarded for the best decorated male, female, junior, and tandem riders. Riders chose to either deposit their toys in support vans to be delivered at the center, or to carry their toys to be dropped off at the collection boxes on site.

We arrived at the Salvation Army, dropped off our toys, and were then treated to complimentary coffee and tasteful pastries, after which our group photo was taken.

Thanks to all that participated and a special thanks to Santa for leading us and to the ride leaders that assisted at intersectioopns keeping the peace with teh motorists.

Visit the SDBC Facebook page to see photos from the event.
