Do you shop at Amazon.com? If so, it’s easy for you to help SDBC receive donations from Amazon to SDBC. Just use the “Amazon Smile” charitable process in your account. Amazon Smile funnels a small percentage of their eligible purchase revenue to SDBC if you activate Amazon Smile in your account and choose “San Diego Bicycle Club” as the beneficiary nonprofit.
Instead of logging in through "amazon.com" you log-in through “smile.amazon.com.” Very easy to use. It is EXACTLY the same shopping experience. Nothing changes except SDBC receives contributions from Amazon. |

Ride Along from Border to Pine Valley for Breast Cancer Cure
Bob Hood, a SDBC member, and Executive Director of 3 Country Ride (www.3CountryRide.org) – a non-profit group trying to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrf.org) – is starting his cross continent ride on March 20th. Although the ride will take him from Tijuana, Mexico to St. Stephen, Canada, he is inviting riders to come join him for the first leg of the U.S. portion of the ride from the San Ysidro boarder crossing to Pine Valley. This is a ride of about 58 miles and 6,000 feet of elevation gain.
The U.S. portion of the ride is scheduled to start at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 20th, just outside the pedestrian entrance of the San Ysidro crossing, and expected to take about 6 ½ hours.
While we would welcome some riders to join us for the entire trip, we are trying to get riders to join us across the nation for small segments of the ride around their home towns. This will be our first such segment.
Anyone who is interested can contact Bob at bob@3CountryRide.org or +1-945-6215. General information on the ride can be found at www.3CountryRide.org/Ride. |
