2021 Title Sponsor Is...
|
|
Bonnici Law Group |
|
Great news: Longtime SDBC sponsor Bonnici Law Group is moving up to Title Sponsor for 2022. BLG owner Josh Bonnici has been racing with the Men’s team for several years and is committed to SDBC, racing, and the broader cycling community in San Diego – he’s on the board of directors of the San Diego County Mountain Biking Association.
Let’s hope you never need Josh’s services, but if you do Bonnici Law Group is San Diego's bicycle, injury, and disability legal team bringing personalized help to the law. In fact, your Club uses Josh’s expertise, and has retained his firm’s services. We trust him.
And yes, we’ll be racing under new colors for 2022. Vali Holroyd and team are working on the 2022 kit now. Details to come.

Please No Public Urination |
|
Several riders were observed last week urinating on the south side of Cafe LaTerre by one of the hair stylists. This is completely unacceptable. It risks our relationship with our sponsor and his relationship with the landlord and other tenants. At least one rider was in a SDBC Jersey and part of one of our groups. There are restrooms available inside the salon and also inside CVS. Also please keep the restrooms clean.

Volunteer Director Needed |
|
After serving so many years in this position, it is time for me to step down.
If you have been enjoying the benefits of this club, it is time to step up and join the Board of Directors.
The BOD meets monthly. The Volunteer Director’s job is simply to round up volunteers for our various events. Online volunteer sites make this task so much easier than when I started in this position. Our great club members never fail to step up when needed to get the job done.
Please contact me if you are interested. I would be happy to share more information.

Looking for Someone to Take the Lead on the Borrego Ride and Camp |
|
After 20 years, Team Webb has decided it's time to pass the baton on this trip. We are looking for someone to take the reins, hopefully, and keep it going.
This is a 2 day event, riding from Mira Mesa Park and Ride to Borrego Palm Canyon Campground and returning the next day. Sag vehicles carry your camp gear. SDBC provides dinner and breakfast. Everyone helps with cooking and camp clean up.
Keep it the same? Change it up? That would be your call. If no one steps up, there will be no trip this year.
We are willing to help.
Contact Linda with your questions and ideas.

Master Timer needed for Fiesta Island Time Trial Series |
|
We have an opening for a Master Timer at our Fiesta Island Time Trial Series. We are looking for a dependable, somewhat tech orientated, motivated, team building person, to fill our very instrumental position of Master Timer. We have 4-5 Time Trials per year and our Time Trials are typically over by 9:00 A.M. so the time commitment is minimal.
Our SDBC Fiesta Island Time Trial Staff is a fun, tight knit group. You will enjoy camaraderie with your fellow SDBC members, and I take the team out for a de-brief breakfast meeting immediately following each Time Trial. Our next Time Trial is October 17, so if you think that you are a good fit contact me directly. Email me at: fittdirector@sdbc.org
