Ride, Give and Enjoy

Join the San Diego Bicycle Club for the 38th Annual “Light Up A Life” Holiday Toy Ride, benefiting families served by The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center. This 40-mile, holiday-paced ride is led by Santa Claus himself — and everyone is welcome!

• 0815: Cyclists arrive at UC Cyclery

• 0830: Bike & Costume Contest

• 0845: Ride rolls out

Bike Decoration

Decorate your bike in festive holiday style—prizes will be awarded before the ride for the best-decorated adult rider, junior rider, and tandem team!

Donations

Each year, The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center helps hundreds of San Diego families choose from donated toys at their holiday distribution center. Let’s help brighten the season for families in need!

Riders are encouraged to bring:

• An unwrapped toy (especially for older pre-teen children - such as basketballs, soccer balls, etc)

• Non-perishable canned/boxed food

• Cash (checks)

We'll deliver donations to the Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center (University Ave & 69th St). A support vehicle will be available to transport larger items (if they’re too big to transport on your bike).
