Training

Training is a cornerstone of any successful racing club. At SDBC, we are proud to have USA Cycling (USAC) certified coaches who work closely with our racing teams to develop skills and introduce new riders to the world of competitive cycling.

Our Saturday training rides are held year-round and are tailored to prepare members for all types of riding and racing. These group rides focus on building endurance, improving technique, and fostering teamwork.

In addition to our organized training sessions, members are encouraged to connect with others who have similar schedules to create personalized training plans and further enhance their preparation.

Discounts on Equipment

SDBC partners with several major sponsors, including local bike shops, to offer members exclusive discounts on products and services. These partnerships provide substantial savings on cycling gear and equipment.

Competition

SDBC encourages members to join USA Cycling (USAC) and represent the club in races. Each year, the club hosts several major USAC-sanctioned races, as well as a series of time-trial races that allow members of all levels to compete against one another. SDBC also fields teams in most USAC categories for both men and women.

Racing Team members who meet minimum participation and volunteer requirements receive additional benefits, such as equipment, clothing, and other items to help reduce the cost of racing. Teams are formed whenever there are dedicated racers in a specific category.

Membership Dues

Membership fees start at just $55/year for individuals and just $20 for each additional family member (at the same address). Juniors enjoy a special discounted rate of $10/year.
